Purpose: Science Clubs were established to raise awareness among our students in a period when great discoveries were made in terms of science and technology and many new inventions were put into practice, and to provide them with different perspectives and the foundations of scientific studies. In this process, we aim to awaken our students’ interest in science, prepare them for higher education institutions and reach a scientific literacy level in society.

Goals of the Clubs

The students in this club are expected to;

Develop their scientific perspectives,
Increase their skills in problem solving,
Ensure that they are aware of the services and contributions of science in their lives,
Develop their healthy competitive spirit and attitude,
Help them gain self-confidence, independence and the habit of loving manual labor,
Develop their constructive, exploratory and creative aspects,
Ensure that they understand the value of time and help them use their hours correctly,
Introduce them to the latest inventions and discoveries of science in various fields and the life history and contributions of great scientists,
Develop their curiosity and participation in the practical applications of their knowledge related to different branches of science,
Ensure that they are interested in scientific facts and events related to their environment,
Develop scientific problem solving method education,
Instill scientific attitude and provide opportunities for scientific method education,
Develop interest in scientific hobbies,
Encourage individual and group activities,
Ensure that they take active participation and initiative in the learning process,
Develop their psychomotor skills aimed to ensure its development.

Activities of Science Project Clubs

Researching current scientific topics.
Conducting resource scanning studies.
Conducting science experiments.
Preparing and publishing science projects.
Making and presenting projects on selected topics.
Monitoring and evaluating cultural events.
Conducting informative studies on the history of science
Collecting information that will arouse interest and curiosity in students with the “Did you know these?” corner.
Following scientific journals and publications.
